Hiring directly versus using an agency
When looking for help with non-medical, activities of daily living, many families weigh as one of their options directly employing a caregiver. Contracting with an agency to send a caregiver is usually the superior option. Golden Choice Care handles all the work of recruiting and screening caregivers and has extensive experience in choosing the right people. Golden Choice Care handles all the tax forms and other documentation legally required. Golden Choice Care personal care givers are all fully insured and bonded, affording you that extra protection. When your caregiver is on vacation or out sick, Golden Choice Care can handle the work of scheduling a replacement.
What is Respite Care?
Respite care is essentially fill-in care for family caregivers. For instance, a retired husband and wife may live together, and the wife is responsible for helping with many daily needs. The wife needs to leave town for a few days for a graduation or a funeral, but such a journey would be too burdensome on the husband. That family would call Golden Choice Care to arrange respite care for the husband while the wife is away.
How quickly can you staff a home?
Golden Choice Care can staff a home (or other contracts) on the same day in 80% of cases and by the next day in 100% of cases. This is a remarkably fast response to need for the private duty, personal care profession. What if I need home care of a more medical nature?
No problem. The sister company of Golden Choice Care is Signature Home Health Care, a Joint Commission accredited, Medicare certified skilled care home health agency. Golden Choice Caregivers are trained to help detect needs for nursing supervision or rehabilitation. We can help initiate your medical home care service. When you have a medical need, Medicare will pay 100% of charges from Signature Home Health Care, for qualified beneficiaries.

Do you do windows?
Yes. Golden Choice Care lets clients schedule heavy-duty cleaning as needed. During heavy-duty cleaning, we send two homemakers who can clean carpets, clean windows, clean ovens, and perform the other tasks not usually part of daily cleaning. What payment methods do you take?
Golden Choice Care works with private pay, long-term care insurance, and multiple community organizations that arrange care for certain individuals. Many long-term care insurance policies reimburse the insured directly, but Golden Choice Care still handles the insurance billing for the convenience of our clients. Our rates are quite competitive. To receive a personal quote, please contact us today. Do you only go to homes?
Golden Choice Care staffs more than homes. As a private duty, personal care provider, we go where you need help when you need assistance. This may be your home or apartment. This can also be a hospital, nursing home, or rehab facility where you need more service than the floor staff typically provides. Will you protect my privacy?
Golden Choice Care takes the privacy of our clients very seriously. Our standing policy is that we are not allowed to identify our clients in any way except to those people you specify in writing (such as your doctors and your spouse). All our employees are well trained in patient privacy and know to not even identify our patients with their own spouses. Furthermore, all patient records are kept in locked cabinets or locked/supervised areas. We reiterate, we take the privacy of our patients very seriously.
What do you mean you are on-call 24/7?
You may have an unexpected need for service. You may have a very concerning change in your medical condition and want to discuss it with someone. Golden Choice Care answers the phone 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. We even have highly experienced home health nurses on call to help you assess those late-night medical concerns after your doctor's office is closed. If you have a serious medical emergency requiring immediate attention, please contact 911.
